1.Silicone Rubber Overview
Silicone rubber refers to the rubber whose main chain is composed of silicon and oxygen atoms alternately, and the silicon atom is usually connected with two organic groups. Ordinary silicone rubber is mainly composed of silicone links containing methyl and a small amount of vinyl. The introduction of phenyl can improve the high and low temperature resistance of silicone rubber, while the introduction of trifluoropyl and cyano can improve the temperature and oil resistance of silicone rubber.
Silicone rubber has good low temperature resistance and can still work at minus 55 ℃. After introducing phenyl, the temperature of silicone rubber can reach minus 73 ℃. The heat resistance of silicone rubber is also outstanding. It can work for a long time at 180 ℃. It can withstand several weeks and remain elastic slightly higher than 200 ℃. At the same time, it can withstand high temperatures above 300 ℃ instantaneously.

2.Types of Silicone Rubber
According to its vulcanization temperature, silicone rubber can be divided into high temperature (heating) vulcanization type and room temperature vulcanization type. High temperature rubber is mainly used to manufacture various silicone rubber products, while room temperature rubber is mainly used as adhesive, potting material or mold.
HTV Silicone Rubber: HTV silicone rubber is the most important kind of silicone products, commonly known as high temperature rubber. It is mainly used in aviation, instruments, electronics, navigation, metallurgy, machinery, automobile, medical and health departments. It can be used as sealing rings, gaskets, pipes and cables of various shapes, human organs, blood vessels, breathable films, rubber molds, release agents for precision casting, etc.
RTV Silicone Rubber: RTV silicone rubber generally includes condensation type and addition molding.
The addition molding room temperature adhesive has good heat resistance, hydrophobicity and electrical insulation.
